GOT SEMIFINAL

Today Japan vs Australia, it's ASIA CUP 2007. I watched the game with father, he likes it very much, like me. And Japanese, we got through to a semifinal! Great! But I had hoped that Japan get some goals. Because Japanese football better than before , I think. And climate is too bad for Australian, that climate is bad for Japanese too, but better than them, because the humidity is high in the Japanese summer. But they got 1 goal. Anyway we got through to a semifinal, good job! I'm looking forward next match!

unfortunately japan lost the semifinal against saudi-arabia. i would have loved to see them advance to the final again. they scored in that game but i think that's their huge problem. they just don't score enough goals. they did though against germany before the world cup (a 2-2 draw, both goals coming from takahara naohiro).

i really like their style of playing though. wonderful passing and brilliant technique.

Hi, Jan. Yes, we lost, and it was miserable play. I don't know why they couldn't get goal, I thought many times they gonna get goal, but not. I think need to help other player, for example Shiji Ono, Tsuboi.
And Takahara, he did good work almost game recently, but you know, he was bad player at 2006 FIFA World Cup. He didn't get goal at that time when we wanna goal. But he's educated in Germany, it's nice! Anyway I'm glad to hear you like Japanese play.
Nice to meet you. Thank you for your message.

hi michi,

does ono still play for the national team? i think he was on the team for the world cup in germany but i read some articles that he was dropped from the squad before the asian cup. a friend of mine bought me shirt of the japanese national team with ono's number #18 and his name. it was interesting to walk through the city wearing that jersey during the world cup since there were a lot of japanese supporters in cologne. the japanese team was staying in bonn which is only a few minutes away. that was a great time. i watched the match japan vs australia and i was really disappointed when japan lost.

takahara is playing really well in germany. and he now has a new teammate, inamoto junichi, who will play with him in frankfurt.

Hi Jan, Ono now he doesn't play Japanese national team, and he played a little at the world cup in Germany. I think he was really nice player. If you know Feyenoord Rotterdam, you can know about him. Anyway you have his shirt!? Wow! Great! I love him, but I haven't. I hope it's treasure for you.
About Inamoto, I guess he'll be not good play in there. Because I think he has guts, but esteem himself unlucky.
And I don't know national team of Germany, only Michael Ballack, Kahn, Klose... But now Kahn and Klose don't play at national team? It's a pity that they don't play at national team.

hey michi,

kahn ballack and klose still play football, but kahn retired from the national team. he will retire in germany after the end of this season, but he said he might add a year in asia, so you might have a chance to watch him play when he goes to the j-league.
klose and ballack still play for the national team, but they were both injured at the end of last season.

as for ono, yes, i first noticed him, when he played for feyernoord, and, oh yes, i do treasure that shirt! :-D
